I grew up in Mentor and graduated from Mentor High School. I then went on to Kent State University to earn my bachelor's degree in elementary education. I later earned my master's degree from Ashland University. In 2009, I became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of literacy. It was a lot of work, but a life changing experience! I love teaching and can't imagine doing anything else!
My husband Chris and I now live in Chardon with our two children Caitlyn (7th grade) and C.J.(4th grade). We also have a Golden Retriever named Sophie. As a family, we spend a lot of time on a basketball court, on a baseball field, or a football field. Caitlyn plays competitive basketball year round and C.J. plays football, basketball, and baseball. In my free time, I love to shop, and hang out with my family. One of my favorite things to do is read! I always have a book or magazine in my hands whenever I have time!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I love working with all the students in my class and getting to know them more and more each day!
